Faiz M Chowdhury

Faiz M Chowdhury’s story in the technology industry epitomizes visionary leadership and a deep commitment to resolving pressing global issues. His remarkable journey from a rural village in Bangladesh to becoming a key figure in the tech world is a narrative of inspiration, innovation, and significant social impact. The harsh realities of poverty marked his early experiences in Bangladesh, limited access to healthcare, and natural disasters. Growing up in an environment lacking basic facilities like electricity and clean drinking water and constrained by limited educational opportunities, he nurtured a strong passion for science. This early exposure to adversity fueled his desire to create a better future for humanity, driving his resolve to overcome challenges and make a meaningful difference in the world. His path to substantially impacting the world began with his pursuit of higher education. He attended the University of California, Berkeley, earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He further expanded his knowledge and skills by completing the Stanford Advanced Project Management Program and acquiring an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from MIT Sloan School of Management. He also completed a Real Estate Executive Seminar program at Harvard Business School. This diverse educational foundation equipped him with technical knowledge and leadership skills to tackle complex global challenges.

His career reached a turning point in 1997 when he joined Intel Corporation. During his tenure at Intel, he recognized the transformative power of technology and its potential to uplift humanity significantly. This realization, combined with his early life experiences, led him to envision a world free from hunger, poverty, pollution, and deadly diseases. Motivated by this vision, he left Intel to pursue these broader objectives. A significant career milestone occurred in 2009 when Faiz met MIT Professor Ian W. Hunter, an inventor with a notable portfolio of patents. This encounter led his involvement with Nucleus Scientific, Inc., co-founded by Professor Hunter, focusing on pioneering “in-wheel” motor technology, a significant innovation in electric vehicle technology.
